Frequently Asked Questions
Do I require a doctor’s note to book an appointment with a Mobility Lab practitioner?
- No, a doctor’s note is not required to book a visit. If going through insurance, though, we recommend contacting your insurance company to understand your individual coverage plan.
If my doctor wrote me a referral for another clinic, may I still come to Mobility Lab?
- Yes, if you feel more comfortable visiting our clinic and/or have a friend or family member who had recommended us to you, by all means, you are able to come to Mobility Lab instead.
How long will my appointment be?
- Appointment lengths will depend on the type of practitioner you’re seeing, but will generally be 20-60 minutes.
Do you accept insurance plans?
- Yes, Mobility Lab accepts most insurance plans. Please speak with your specific insurance company ahead of time to understand your coverage plan.
What should I bring / wear to my appointment?
- Generally we recommend loose fitting clothing and proper footwear depending on the season (ie. a second pair of indoor shoes in the winter so you can leave your winter boots at the door). We also require a health card, and any insurance insurance you would like I to use for payment purposes.
What fees do you charge for the services you provide?
- At Mobility Lab our goal is to provide you with the best care possible, at a fair price, so as to make our services accessible to the public. For our specific fee schedule, please contact our Patient Care Coordinators.
Cancellation / No-Show Policy
- Please provide 24 hours notice if you have to cancel or reschedule an appointment. All of our healthcare professionals are independent contractors, so a last-minute cancellation not only means someone on the wait list is unable to book in, but also lost wages for our practitioners.
What is our privacy policy?
- As a multidisciplinary healthcare centre, we collect, use, and disclose personal information in accordance with Freedom of information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) of Ontario and the federal privacy act.
